C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans clinched their second straight AFC South division title with last week’s win over the Dolphins, aided by the Indianapolis Colt’s loss against the Broncos. Stroud completed 18-of-26 for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win, while WR Nico Collins caught two touchdowns. RB Joe Mixon led the team in receptions (5) and receiving yards (33).

The Texans have won three of their last four matchups and look to keep trending upward as they head into the playoffs.

Kansas City Chiefs:

The Kansas City Chiefs (13-1) have the best record in the league after Sunday’s dominant 21-7 victory over the Browns. Patrick Mahomes completed 19-of-38 for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns before exiting the game in the fourth quarter with a mild high-ankle sprain. Backup QB Carson Wentz , who signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs in April, closed out the game.

Kansas City clinched its ninth straight AFC West title in Week 14 and now aims to win the Lombardi trophy for the third consecutive year. But first, they look to secure the top seed in the AFC. With three weeks left in the regular season, the Chiefs currently sit two games above the Bills in the conference.

Will Patrick Mahomes play in Saturday’s game?

Head coach Andy Reid says Mahomes is taking the injury “day-by-day” given the short recovery time.

“Let’s just see what he does, how he does, feels…if he can go, he’ll go,” Reid said. “If he can’t, then he can’t. It’s that simple. That’s how we’ll roll. I’ll just take it day by day and see how he does.”

Saturday’s Madden Cast will feature a dedicated commentary team with NBC Sports’ Paul Burmeister on play-by-play; former NFL quarterback, YouTuber, and Madden NFL expert Kurt Benkert will discuss and predict play options; and six-time Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Ochocinco will serve as a real-time player ratings adjuster. Henry Leverette, who won the Ultimate Madden Bowl championship will also be a part of the Peacock exclusive production.

Saturday’s game on Peacock will be called by Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Todd Blackledge (analyst), and Kathryn Tappen will report from the sidelines. Terry McAulay will serve as the rules analyst.
