Scranton Christmas Lights House

The Scranton Christmas Lights House, 300 Prospect Ave., and its neighbors, remain lit through Jan. 5, continuing a tradition of decades. Check the Facebook page for a preview. The lights go on by 5 p.m.

Movie fundraiser for Lackawanna Historical Society

A screening of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” with a costume contest, will raise money for the Lackawanna Historical Society on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Ritz Theater, 222 Wyoming Ave., Scranton. Tickets are $10. The Chevy Chase comedy came out in 1989. Rated PG-13. Tickets: theritztheater.com/upcoming-events.

Anthony Nunziata on Friday

Singer and songwriter Anthony Nunziata will perform a “Bublé to Bocelli” Christmas concert Friday at 7 p.m. at the Theater at North, Scranton, with Christmas songs, romantic classics, Italian arias and work from his albums. Songs will include: “O Sole Mio,” “O Holy Night,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “Unchained Melody,” “Feeling Good,” and  “Santa Lucia.” He will be joined by the Valley View High School choir and Occhipinti Dance Company. Nunziata has performed at the Café Carlyle in New York City and Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops. Tickets are $34 at thetheateratnorth.org or in person at the box office, 1539 N. Main Ave., Scranton.

Model trains in Hazle Twp. Saturdays and Sundays

Model railroads are classic elements of Christmas and the Anthracite Model Railroad Club in Hazle Twp. is holding free open houses Saturdays and Sundays through Jan 12. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. The 21 feet by 41 feet, two-level display depicts places in the region along 1,200 feet of track. “Charlie Brown” live Monday

The classic Christmas special will come to life when “A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage” plays the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, Wilkes-Barre, Monday at 6:30 p.m. The show is accompanied with a live band and ends with the Peanuts characters leading a sing-along.
