Greenville Police Department announces new partnership for safer travel

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville Police Department has announced a new partnership for safer travel.

Advanced Auto Parts is teaming up with Greenville police and donated $2,500 worth of Advance gift cards as part of the Advancing Our Roads program.

Through this initiative, the department said when officers spot equipment violations like a nonfunctioning headlight or defective vehicle equipment, they can issue a $25 Advance gift card to encourage motorists to use it for repairs.

Officials said this program is to help drivers get their vehicles back in safe working conditions.
