Jennifer Aniston Talks Career Satisfaction And Her Pvolve Workouts: ‘I Feel In The Best Physical Shape That I’ve Been’

We continue to admire her for her powerful television roles, her memorable movies – and now, Jennifer Aniston is ready to have you fall in love with her Pvolve workouts, too!

Founded by Rachel Katzman in 2017 and led and operated alongside President Julie Cartwright and CMO/CCO Karina Kogan, Pvolve leads with its mission to exist in helping every woman feel powerful in her body and mind throughout her entire life. Pvolve is a science-led workout method that combines low-impact functional fitness with resistance-based equipment to sculpt, strengthen and restore the body, whether you choose to do so in a Pvolve in-person class setting or streaming its live and on-demand workouts from the comforts of your own home.

Aniston, 55, began her partnership with the Pvolve team last summer to help lead the company into its next chapter. I sat down with the beloved Hollywood star and business leader to uncover her reasoning to want to lend her time and energy to Pvolve, and how it has most improved her own everyday life.

When speaking about what initially got her involved, Aniston said, “I was back from doing a movie [Murder Mystery 2], I had an injury from wearing a harness – long story – scaling the Eiffel Tower, shall we say? You get so frustrated because every time you’re injured, I always have to take a big timeout from working out, which is an immediate mood diminisher. My friend said I should try Pvolve because it’s functional fitness and you can work around your injury, so no excuses, and I loved it! The variety that it provided, so you don’t get bored, and you feel always constantly motivated. You curate your workouts – you got 15 minutes, you got 10 minutes, you got 20, you got an hour. I didn’t know enough about [Pvolve], so I just figured why not spread the love?”

While speaking together over Zoom, Aniston sat casually at her desk during our conversation, wearing a pair of eye glasses and a red workout top. Seeing her in such a fit and strong state, undoubtedly due to her Pvolve workouts, I had to tell Aniston, “You look awesome, Jen!”

She said, “Thank you! When I say I feel in the best physical shape that I’ve been because it’s been the longest period of time where I’ve been injury-free.”

Today, Aniston and her Pvolve team are debuting the Essentials bundle, which includes some of its signature workout equipment, like the P.ball for toning various areas of the body, the P.band for upper body strength and posture support, as well as the P.3 Trainer, which provides a full-body toning system. The bundle costs $349.99 and includes a 3-month streaming membership and a Pvolve tote.

“They’re all so portable,” Aniston said of the new Essentials bundle. “You can throw them in a bag, in your suitcase – you can take anywhere, which is always something that I love. If you’re in a hotel room, if you’re on vacation – all you need is a little space and these little pieces of equipment. It’s just easy on your body and it works out all of your essential muscle groups.”

Living in a world today where there seems to be endless fitness companies and new, innovative workouts constantly emerging out on the market, what makes Pvolve truly unique from other fitness options today?

Aniston said, “It is easy on your body. It’s low impact. You still get the bang for your buck. If you only have a small amount of time or a regular window of time, you can use it. It’s just very user-friendly and for some reason, friends of mine, who I couldn’t get to do anything, are in love with [Pvolve] and it has changed their lives. I’ve also gifted it to people, which then they feel like they have to do it, but they’ve ended up loving it.”

Being someone who has been idolized and often the inspiration behind beauty trends in society, ever since her years of playing Rachel Green on the hit sitcom Friends, I was curious how Aniston would describe her overall mindset towards fitness, health and wellness today.

“I always incorporate all of that,” Aniston said. “I think the good, healthy attitude is 80-20. Live 80 percent of your life as healthy and as good as you can be to your body and then you got to have at least 20 percent of fun.”

As a dedicated workout person myself, I shared with Aniston that many fitness enthusiasts look to their workouts to help center them and to give them those happy endorphins. So, what does fitness mean to Aniston and providing a balance within her own life?

“Exactly what you just said! It gets my mood. It gives me my ‘joie de vivre’ for the day. I feel like my blood is moving, the brain is moving – sometimes. It’s just all about feeling better, and on the days when you just really don’t want to do [a workout], it is probably the most important day that you should do it.”

As for the thoughts that go through Aniston’s head when finishing a Pvolve workout, she says it’s, “I did it! I got through it. Now, I can really enjoy my day.”

As I began to conclude the conversation with Aniston, I wondered between her Pvolve partnership, her LolaVie haircare line, as well as in her ongoing acting, producing and directing career, what parts of Aniston’s life today is she enjoying most, that she maybe did not feel in the same way in years past?

Aniston said, “Well, you know what? I realize that I’m doing things that I really love to do. I love my haircare line – I love it! I love the development of that – I love seeing the results that it’s providing and that people love it. I love Pvolve – I love the workout, so everything is sort of a reflection of how I live my life and in sharing that, so it almost doesn’t feel like work, to be honest. We’re deep into pre-production on The Morning Show [season four] – and so, that’s been really, really fun, I have to say. It feels like there is more ownership of everything, you know what I mean? I’m living to work – I really work to live. I’m just enjoying the work and then I get to live a life that feels like I’m satisfied and complete.”
