Swannanoa Harley Davidson serves as relief hub, now back to business after storm damage
SWANNANOA, N.C. (WLOS) — The Harley Davidson store in Swannanoa, N.C., had reopened after sustaining damage from Hurricane Helene, which struck the WNC region nearly three months ago.
During renovations, the property served as a base of operations, housing storage and supplies for the relief group Savage Freedom.
General Manager Steve Larson told News 13 that with Christmas coming soon and after months of efforts to restabilize, it was “time to reopen and welcome back customers.”

“A lot of gift giving right now so, a lot of people are coming in, getting clothes, maybe parts for their motorcycles, that sort of thing,” Larson said. “But behind me, there’s a tremendous amount of collectibles and gifts.”
Larson said they are at the “tail end” of finishing renovations and are working with local crews to complete the process as soon as possible.
