Beyoncé’s Christmas halftime show: When will it air around the world?
Beyoncé is giving fans a special Christmas gift this year by performing at the halftime show during the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens football game.
The pop superstar will perform on Christmas Day, December 25, marking a game-changing moment for both Queen Bey and the NFL. This year marks the first of many planned Netflix Christmas Gameday Live football games.
The Texans vs. Ravens game will take place at the NRG Stadium in Houston—Beyoncé’s hometown.
Here is everything you need to know about the timings of the halftime show and how you can watch it from home:
What Time Will Beyoncé’s Show Air In US, Europe And Rest Of World?
“The Netflix Christmas Day games inclusive of Beyoncé’s performance will be available to all our members across the globe on Netflix,” a Netflix spokesperson told Newsweek.
The performance will begin during the second game of the day. The Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET, and halftime is expected to be around 6 p.m. ET:
Houston and Baltimore residents without a Netflix subscription can watch the game in their respective cities on broadcast television. Additionally, subscribers to NFL+ will also be able to watch the game and halftime performance from their mobile devices and Smart TVs.
The halftime show will mark the first live performances of songs from the singer’s critically acclaimed Cowboy Carter album, released on March 29, according to Netflix.
While Beyoncé has remained tight-lipped about what to expect from the show, Netflix has teased that some collaborators on the album will join the Grammy winner on stage.
Those names could include Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Linda Martell, Miley Cyrus and Post Malone. Other artists who could appear include Shaboozey, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts.
Beyoncé decided to make an album inspired by country music after not feeling welcomed in the community, writing on Instagram when the Cowboy Carter was announced: “This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t.”
She was likely referring to her performance with the Chicks at the Country Music Association Awards in 2016 and her song “Daddy Lessons” from the album Lemonade. Her move into country music and invitation to sing at the event were widely criticized.
Can You Watch Beyoncé’s Halftime Show After It Airs?
“Our NFL rights are live rights. In the U.S., the games will be available to start for 3 hours post-kickoff. Anyone who starts in that time frame will be able to see the whole game with standard fast-forward capability (consistent with other linear players),” a Netflix spokesperson told Newsweek.
“After that, anyone who starts the game for the first time will only have access to the highlights reel. The highlight reel will come down after 72 hrs, and the rights go back to the NFL.
“Outside the US: Our window for the game is 24 hours past game end to allow for new audiences to see the full game. Highlight reel for 72 hours post, then rights go back to the NFL.”
If you’re unable to watch Beyoncé’s halftime performance live, post-show recaps on sports or entertainment networks may replay the performance. Clips and highlights are also usually shared on platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
Will Beyoncé’s Tour After Halftime Show?
Ahead of the performance, rumors started swirling that Beyoncé would soon announce an “enormous” tour that would kick off after the halftime show, but this has been flat-out denied.
On November 27, @ThePopTingz wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “According to Hits Daily Double, Beyoncé is reportedly gearing up for a massive tour, set to kick off with her halftime performance at the NFL Christmas Game.”
However, the singer’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, set the record straight in the replies, writing, “Untrue. Nothing to report here. Whenever there is any news, you will hear it directly from the source first.”
Relationship Between the NFL and Netflix
Netflix will stream at least one NFL game on December 25 in 2025 and 2026 as part of a three-year agreement with the league for the global streaming rights to its Christmas Day games.
“There are no live annual events, sports or otherwise, that compare with the audiences NFL football attracts,” Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s chief content officer, said earlier this year when the deal was announced. “We’re so excited that the NFL‘s Christmas Day games will be only on Netflix.”
Hans Schroeder, NFL executive vice president of media distribution, told Newsweek that, after the football organization worked with Netflix on a pair of hit docuseries, the Christmas deal is “a deepening of our partnership” with the platform.
“For the NFL, this is an incredible step with an incredible partner and platform in Netflix,” he said, noting that last year, “all three Christmas games were among the top 10 regular season games overall for our season.”
Schroder added: “Last year, we averaged close to 29 million viewers across [Christmas Day]. Clearly, our fans have spoken, and they’re excited about having football on Christmas. This is an opportunity to build on that.”
The executive vice president also said that all three of last year’s December 25 games sit among the top 10 regular-season games overall for that season, showing an appetite for more holiday football.
