Former Microsoft exec appointed chief strategy and business development officer at Topcon Healthcare | ROI-NJ

Jacques Gilbert has been appointed as chief strategy and business development officer at Topcon Healthcare, an Oakland-based provider of medical devices and digital health care solutions.

Gilbert will be charged with leading the development and execution of Topcon Healthcare’s business strategy, focusing on the company’s groundbreaking Healthcare from the Eye™ initiative—a connected care ecosystem using oculomics, the science behind AI-powered ocular and systemic disease detection and management applied to noninvasive retinal imaging.

With over 25 years of experience in the health care, financial services, and technology sectors, Gilbert brings a wealth of expertise in driving strategic growth, innovation, and business development for both successful startups and multinational corporations. Most recently, he served as vice president of health care strategy, partnerships & M&A at Microsoft, where he played a key role in driving the company’s growth in medical imaging and health care technologies, including the integration of Nuance’s medical imaging technology into Microsoft’s portfolio.
