Chris Jones, Jawaan Taylor questionable for Christmas game vs. Steelers
The Chiefs may not have their best defensive player when they play the Steelers on Christmas Day.
Kansas City has listed defensive lineman Chris Jones as questionable for the Wednesday matchup.
Jones (calf) was upgraded to a limited participant on Tuesday’s injury report. The Chiefs conducted a walk-through on Tuesday. Jones had been a non-participant on Sunday and Monday’s reports.
Jones, 30, has recorded 5.0 sacks with nine tackles for loss and 20 QB hits this season.
The Chiefs have also listed right tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) as questionable. He was limited on all three injury reports this week. Wanya Morris replaced Taylor at right tackle during Saturday’s win over the Texans.
Left tackle D.J. Humphries (hamstring) and defensive back Chamarri Conner (concussion) are both out.
Tight end Peyton Hendershot (calf) will be available, though the Chiefs have to activate him off of injured reserve after he was designated to return this week. He was listed as a full participant on Monday and Tuesday.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle), center Creed Humphrey (shoulder), safety Justin Reid (back), receiver Xavier Worthy (ankle), receiver Nikko Remigio (knee), and cornerback Josh Williams (ankle/elbow) are all off the report and are expected to play.
