Earlier this month, we asked readers to nominate their favorite Christmas movie for our Christmas movie poll. The results of that poll are in.

Here’s a look at the other nominees and the film people voted as their favorite one to watch for Christmas.

The nominees for the favorite Christmas movie poll were:

What is Oregonians’ favorite Christmas movie?

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” received the most votes of movies listed on the poll.

Out of 669 readers who voted, 29.6% voted for “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” more than twice the number of any of the other nominees. In second place was a tie between “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “A Christmas Story,” and “Elf” at 13.9%.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the holiday comedy “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” starring Chevy Chase as Clark Griswold, a father set on planning the perfect Christmas for his family despite never-ending obstacles and chaos.

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” is airing on AMC as part of their “Best Christmas Ever” event. Here are the remaining times in December to watch on AMC.

The movie will air on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. PST.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 25, at 11 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. PST.
  • Thursday, Dec. 26, at 5:30 p.m. PST.

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” is currently streaming on both HBO MAX and Hulu.

Oregon residents can stream on MAX with a subscription for $16.99 per month ad free or $9.99 per month with ads.
