One killed in crash on the I-70 Business Loop

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – One person is dead following a crash between a truck and a car on the I-70 Business Loop.

In a press release issued Thursday, the Grand Junction Police Department said that it first responded to the crash at about 12:30 p.m.

Police said that the driver of a car heading west on the interstate was killed after hitting a truck that was turning east onto the business loop from the frontage road near where the loop and 28 Road intersect.

Authorities said that the Mesa County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for identifying the person killed in the crash after “appropriate notifications have been made.”

The crash is still under investigation.
