OnePlus Pad (2024) launches in China with 11.6 inch, 144 Hz display and Dimensity 8350 – Liliputing

Smartphone maker OnePlus launched its first tablet in 2023 and followed up later that year with a cheaper model for select markets before launching the OnePlus Pad 2 in July, 2024.

Now the company has introduced a new flagship tablet with a somewhat strange name. The OnePlus Pad (2024) is now available in China for about $275 and up. It will probably cost a bit more if and when it goes on sale in other markets.

So the first weird thing about the name is that this is the second OnePlus Pad to launch in 2024. The second is that it’s launching at the very end of 2024, which means that most people who buy one will probably pick one up in 2025 or later.

Anyway, the OnePlus Pad (2024) seems like a pretty solid entry in the mid-range tablet space. It has some premium features including an 11.6 inch, 2800 x 200 pixel, 144 Hz display with up to 700 nits brightness, a 7:5 aspect ratio, and support for touch and pen input. But it’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, which is a chip designed for “premium” devices rather than “flagship.”

The processor combines four ARM Cortex-A715 CPU performance cores with four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores and Mali_G615 MC6 graphics.

Entry-level configurations feature 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, but the tablet is available with up to 12GB of memory and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Other features included a 9520 mAh battery, support for 67 watt fast charging, 8MP front and rear cameras (the camera on the back supports electronic image stabilization while recording videos), a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, and support for WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4.

The tablet measures 257.8 x 189.1 x 6.3mm (10.15″ x 7.44″ x 0.25″ and weighs 533 grams (1.18 pounds).
