Graham to Travel to St. Louis for Hermann Trophy Banquet – Duke University

DURHAM, N.C. –  Duke women’s soccer graduate student Maggie Graham will travel to St. Louis, Mo., for the 2024 Hermann Trophy presentation, which will take place at the Missouri Athletic Club on Friday, Jan. 3.

The Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy presented by Mungenast St. Louis Acura and Alton Toyota will be awarded Friday to the top male and female collegiate soccer players in the nation.  The crystal soccer ball trophy represents the highest individual achievement in the sport.  Once again, Alexi Lalas will be the emcee for the banquet.

Along with Graham, other finalists for the award are Kate Faasse of North Carolina and Caiya Hanks of Wake Forest. Graham will be joined at the banquet along with retiring Duke head coach Robbie Church, new head coach Kieran Hall and associate head coach Carla Overbeck.

All finalists will be available to the media from 6-7 p.m. (ET) on the fourth floor of the Missouri Athletic Club.  A press conference where the winners are announced will take place at 7:30 p.m. (ET) on the second floor of the Missouri Athletic Club’s Downtown Clubhouse at 405 Washington Avenue.  A live stream of the announcement will be available beginning at machermanntrophy.org at 7:30 p.m. (ET).

A native of Atlanta, Ga., Graham featured a breakout season offensively for the top-ranked Blue Devils with a team-high 14 goals along with five assists and 33 points.  On the season, she notched five game-winning goals and three matches with two or more tallies. Graham, who was the ACC Midfielder of the Year, played her best against the top competition with seven of her 14 goals coming against ranked opponents.

The Hermann Trophy has been presented to the top player in college soccer since 1967. Go to machermanntrophy.org for more information about the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy.  Duke standout Michelle Cooper recently became the first women’s winner for the Blue Devils in 2022.

Graham helped lead Duke to a very impressive season with an 18-3-1 overall and 9-0-1 ACC ledger.  Duke advanced to the NCAA College Cup for the fifth time in program history, won the ACC Regular Season title for the fourth time in Blue Devil history.
