Pickleball, dining and outdoor entertainment come together at East Valley’s bold new destination

The first of its kind in the country, Electric Pickle is where the thrill of pickleball and outdoor entertainment meets globally inspired cuisine in an elevated ambiance. With five additional openings planned on the horizon, Tempe will be the debut city for the expanding brand.

Electric Pickle, the highly anticipated pickleball, dining and outdoor entertainment destination spanning nearly 5 acres, is officially opening its flagship location in Tempe on Jan. 6, with reservations now available for dining and monthly memberships featuring exclusive perks.

The first of its kind in the country, Electric Pickle is where the thrill of pickleball and outdoor entertainment meets globally inspired cuisine in an elevated ambiance. With five additional openings planned on the horizon, Tempe will be the debut city for the expanding brand.

“Electric Pickle is more than just a pickleball venue—it’s a charge of energy that ignites camaraderie, competition and relaxation all in one space,” said Paul Frederick, founder and co-CEO of Electric Pickle and Eureka! Restaurant Group. “Tempe’s vibrant spirit created the perfect environment to launch this new concept, and we’re looking forward to welcoming guests as we kick off this exciting chapter for the brand.”

The centerpiece of Electric Pickle in Tempe is its two-story, 12,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor restaurant, where globally inspired dishes and craft cocktails deliver a jolt of bold flavor that caters to both casual diners and culinary adventurers. Standout menu items include Seared Ahi ($23) with smoked mustard ponzu and Asian slaw; Sticky Short Ribs ($24) with Korean sauce and green onions; and Barbacoa Nachos ($18) topped with Fresno chiles and pickled onions. Other highlights include the Refreshing Roll ($18) with tuna, salmon and cilantro ponzu and Garlic Noodles & Shrimp ($28) tossed in roasted garlic butter and parmesan.

The playful cocktail program will feature artful and creative options like the Pickler’s Punch ($15) featuring Wheatley Vodka, watermelon, lemon juice, agave, Hampton Water Rosé and Chareau Aloe Liqueur; Spiked Slushies ($17) featuring a variety of fruity flavors; Passion Fruit Margarita ($15) with El Jimador Tequila, passion fruit juice, agave, lime, chamoy and Tajín rim; and the Guava Mojito ($15) with The Real McCoy White Rum, guava juice, lime, agave and fresh mint leaves. For those seeking a more exclusive scene, the second-floor club offers a stylish and chic lounge space that is open to the public yet designed for a more intimate experience—a perfect complement to the lively energy of the restaurant below.

For those looking to get into the game, pickleball court reservations can be made online for up to two hours of play and accommodate up to 12 people with four players on the court at a time. Walk-ins will also be welcomed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Memberships, available for $100 per month, include unlimited open play, advanced booking, exclusive morning discounts on court access and golf simulators from 6 to 10 a.m., as well as savings at the Pro Shop.

Created by the leaders behind Eureka! Restaurant Group and sponsor Knighthead Capital Management, LLC —whose affiliates recently teamed up with Tom Brady and Kim Clijsters to acquire the Las Vegas Night Owls, a Major League Pickleball team—Electric Pickle features nine state-of-the-art pickleball courts, four of which are covered. Five courts are equipped with cutting-edge AI technology, offering scorekeeping via smart wristbands, elevating the pickleball experience.

Designed by Brick & West, the venue seamlessly blends lush greenery with modern, striking elements to create a dynamic backdrop for its wide array of amenities. In addition to pickleball, guests can also enjoy private cabanas, Full Swing Golf Simulators, bocce ball courts, ping pong tables, a lawn with a live-music stage and cornhole. Electric Pickle also offers event booking for celebrations, corporate outings and private gatherings, providing a unique and memorable experience tailored to any occasion.

Located at 8688 S. Emerald Drive—just south of Ikea near Interstate-10 and Warner Road—the Tempe flagship location is just the beginning of a national rollout, with locations set to light up Las Vegas; Katy, Texas; Roseville, California; Rancho Cucamonga, California; and Reno, Nevada.
