Rock Lititz announces plans for Rock Nashville

WARWICK TOWNSHIP — Rock Lititz has announced plans to develop a second rehearsal and production destination for the live event industry — in Nashville, Tenn. It is a joint venture for the Lancaster County-based company with Al. Neyer, a leading commercial real estate developer and design-builder.

The collaborative Rock Nashville campus will largely mirror Rock Lititz in size and scope of rehearsal amenities and multi-tenant spaces for businesses that support the live event industry, the company said Wednesday. In addition to two rehearsal studios for arena/amphitheater tours, Rock Nashville will include 13 other rehearsal spaces to accommodate more intimate performance venues.

Plans do not include a hotel, public-access restaurant or live event industry-focused education facility, all of which are part of the Rock Lititz campus in Warwick Township.

The project will not mean any changes in activity at Rock Lititz, the company said in its announcement of the move.

“We remain committed to the Lititz community and central Pennsylvania. Rehearsals, operations and growth plans for Lititz remain in place, and we are excited to expand our rehearsal studio options at the Rock Lititz campus as construction of the Academy of Live Technology will be completed in May,” said Rock Lititz President and CEO Andrea Shirk.

In February, the joint venture closed on a property in an area known as Whites Creek, located less than 10 miles from downtown Nashville’s key attractions and famed music venues. Construction began in mid-April and is expected to be completed in 2025.

Plans call for the development of 40-acres on the 55-acre Tennessee property into 514,000 square feet of rehearsal facilities — as well as creative offices and production facilities of various sizes.

Confirmed tenants of the new facility include Lititz-headquartered Clair Global, a world leader in audio products, live production services and systems integration, and Soundcheck, a rehearsal, backline and tour support business, the company said.

Rock Lititz also announced it has purchased 38.4-acres of the High Sports complex at 727 Furnace Hills Pike, Warwick Township for an undisclosed price. Owner Samuel High, 90, will retain a 1-acre parcel that operates a car wash and spring water vending system, which will remain open to the public.

Rock Lititz has no immediate plans for its use of the property, the company said.

Rock Lititz was founded in 2000 by Troy Clair, owner of Clair Global, and Adam Davis, CEO of the TAIT Group. The Rock Lititz campus opened in 2014 to create a purpose-built space for the live entertainment industry, according to the company. It is home to more than 40 companies and employs nearly 2,000.
