NBA Cleveland Cavaliers @ Orlando Magic 4 (-110; Odds via Fanduel): 6:00 PM CT on ESPN
As I said before the Cavaliers took Game 5 of this series, it feels like the home team is going to win every time. So when you put the Magic at home, where they were the best ATS team in the league at 28-13 this season, I’m backing them without much hesitation. Orlando has continued that in the playoffs with two surprisingly dominant home wins, and I think they do it again tonight to force a Game 7. The Cavs just looked lost in the two previous games in Orlando, and with Jarrett Allen possibly out tonight they’re in a tough situation. The Magic are gaining confidence after a near-miss in Game 5, so look for them to come out strong and extend this series.
Bonus Bet: Orlando Magic -1.5 First Half (-110; Odds via Fanduel)
The home team has also been fairly dominant early on in these games, and I think Orlando continues that trend as well. The Magic were just an average team this season by overall first half margin, but not surprisingly were much better at home with a +3.3 average margin. When the Magic desperately needed a win in Game 3 like they do tonight, they jumped all over the Cavs for a 16-point lead at halftime. Expect the desperation to fuel another strong start tonight.
MLB Miami Marlins @ Oakland Athletics -0.5 First 5 Innings (+105; Odds via Fanduel): 8:40 PM CT on Bally Sports FL
The best thing about this decent start to the season for Oakland is it’s still Oakland, so there’s an inherent level of disrespect for them in the market no matter the opponent. Even when they play a truly pitiful team like the Marlins, you can back the A’s at cheap or even plus-money numbers like this. I’m expecting A’s starter JP Sears to have a strong outing against a Miami team that’s one of the worst against lefthanded pitching. If he does, this scrappy Oakland team should be able to produce enough offensively to grab a lead after 5 innings.
