Rooflemonger provides an overview on the reported balance changes so far for Street Fighter 6 Season 2

Akuma and the Season 2 balance changes are currently available early at the “Real Battle Hub” at Gamagori, Japan until tomorrow. Players in attendance at the event have been slowly drip feeding updates on changes that they are able to observe, though it should be noted that it’s not like they’re able to jump into training mode and test every character interaction.

Over the course of three video updates, Rooflemonger has opted to compile everything that’s been reported so far. This, of course, includes details about how Akuma will play in Street Fighter 6.

A universal change will allow every character to use Drive Reversal as a wake up option. Supposedly, this is a little bit safer on block as well (suspected to be -6 on block instead of -8 on block).

One change that’s been heavily requested for Ryu is to make it so that his Denjin Charge only gets consumed by his heavy and Overdrive projectiles. This has been implemented, making Ryu’s ability to zone opponents a little bit more unpredictable in Season 2 after he activates his Denjin Charge. Additionally, this change has been implemented for his Hashogeki special.

Rooflemonger ends up going over changes for Ryu, Jamie, Rashid, Chun-Li, A.K.I., E. Honda, Lily, Juri, Marisa, Kimberly, and JP. Keep in mind that there are likely changes that haven’t been discovered yet and everything is still subject to change until the patch drops on May 22.
