Former Women’s College World Series champion hosting youth clinic in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Lauren Chamberlain, the record-holding Division I softball player, is coaching Kansas City Urban Youth Academy students this week.

Her goal is to drive softball interest in young female athletes. Chamberlain played for the Oklahoma Sooners and progressed to play for Team USA. She was also a part of the 2013 Women’s College World Series championship.

At the event, the Academy will announce five of its players chosen to attend the MLB’s Breakthrough Series for 2024.

The clinic will take place on the evening of Tuesday, May 7 and is not open to the public.
