Stafford-Based TTM Adding 100-Plus Jobs

STAFFORD – A Stafford-based company is adding more than 100 jobs in north central Connecticut.

State Sen. Jeff Gordon (R-Woodstock), Gov. Ned Lamont, Dept. of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Dan O’Keefe, and AdvanceCT President and CEO John Bourdeaux Monday joined TTM Technologies Inc. EVP and COO Phil Titterton to celebrate the company’s addition of more than 120 jobs at its two Stafford locations.

The company currently employs more than 600 people in the state.

TTM is a global manufacturer of technology solutions including radio frequency components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and advanced printed circuit boards.

Gordon said the company was looking to invest in modernization and growth opportunities for its customer base, which supports national security objectives by adding employees and capital investments.

Adding more than 120 jobs in Connecticut is helping TTM streamline critical Department of Defense microelectronics programs, officials said.

“Thank you to TTM for choosing Connecticut and Stafford for its expansion, demonstrating the impact of smart investment in our local economy and workforce,” Gordon said. “We appreciate the support from the Governor, the Department of Economic and Community Development, and AdvanceCT, which facilitates growth and brings good-paying jobs. This partnership not only retains and grows businesses but also sets a robust example of economic development through collaboration, benefiting our current and future workforce. This expansion helps Stafford by strengthening its economic and tax bases. These are the things that I continue to support for the communities of the 35th District.”

Lamont applauded an established state company expanding.

“I am thrilled that they are growing their business here in Connecticut and leveraging what we know is one of the top talent pools and workforces in the country,” he said.

Titterton said, “TTM Technologies is pleased to bring this expansion of capability and opportunity for workforce growth to Stafford and Stafford Springs. The engagement by Governor Ned Lamont, the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, and AdvanceCT was invaluable in our decision to expand TTM’s Connecticut facilities. This successful process has allowed all involved to better understand the importance and criticality of U.S.-made printed circuit boards. We appreciate these partnerships and the community as TTM continues to grow our diverse and dedicated workforce in Connecticut.”

O’ Keefe said the expansion fits a state that “has a robust defense and technology sector.”

O’Keefe added, “TTM is an essential part of our state’s advanced manufacturing industry and plays a critical role in our national defense ecosystem. We are proud that they have decided to expand their business here in Connecticut.”

The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development is supporting TTM’s growth by providing up to $867,155 in tax rebates contingent on the company creating and retaining 124 full-time jobs over seven years.

“Connecticut has the 23rd highest GDP in the country but is the 3rd smallest state,” Bourdeaux said. “We punch well above our weight in manufacturing and exported goods. Companies like TTM and their decision to continue investing in our state are an important part of the larger economic story of Connecticut.”
