Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Confirmed to Join TNT, Amazon Prime for 2025 Broadcast Deals

Following his departure from NBC Sports after the 2023 season, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has become a hot commodity when it comes to broadcast deals for NASCAR’s new television rights agreement, which starts in 2025.

On Tuesday, both TNT Sports and Amazon Prime Video announced the addition of the 15-time NASCAR Cup Series Most Popular Driver, as part of two separate broadcast deals that begin next season.

Earnhardt will serve as an on-air commentator for TNT Sports’ five-race stretch of NASCAR Cup Series events each Summer, which will be shown in consecutive weeks on both TNT and the B/R Sports Add-On on Max.

“It is such an exciting time to welcome TNT Sports back to NASCAR,” said Earnhardt Jr. “I remember watching the races on TNT back in the day, and it’s so nostalgic to see them return to the sport and to be a part of their team. I’m looking forward to joining their team and also getting the chance to work with Bleacher Report creating content that our fans will enjoy.”

In addition to his on-air role with TNT Sports, Earnhardt will contribute to a new Bleacher Report content series distributed across B/R’s social and digital platforms. The new series, co-produced with Dirty Mo Media, will capture the NASCAR experience as he interviews special guests while driving each of TNT’s five NASCAR Cup Series races with them in the passenger seat.

“We’re very thrilled to welcome Dale to the TNT Sports family as we partner closely in setting the cornerstone for our NASCAR coverage,” said Craig Barry, Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer, TNT Sports. “We could not be more excited for the return of NASCAR to TNT Sports next Summer, with Dale being a critical part of the overall vision and execution of our coverage.”

The NASCAR Xfinity Series team owner will join Amazon Prime Video as part of the broadcast booth in 2025, while also being utilized in several capacities throughout Prime Video’s coverage, with specifics to be announced at a later date.

“I’m honored to be a part of Prime Video’s entrance into NASCAR,” said Earnhardt Jr. “It is an exciting opportunity to have the chance to give our NASCAR fan base yet another way to watch the sport. It will be exciting to see the innovation that Prime Video is going to bring to our sport and the fans.”

Starting in 2025, Prime Video will exclusively stream five NASCAR Cup Series races to conclude the opening half of the Cup Series season, while also present exclusive coverage of practice and qualifying for nearly the entire first half of the season (excluding the Clash, Daytona 500, Duel, and NASCAR All-Star Race).

“We are thrilled to welcome Dale as an official member of the Amazon family, and build our NASCAR coverage around him,” said Jared Stacy, Director of Global Live Sports Production, Prime Video. “One of the most beloved figures in racing history, Dale has an unrivaled passion for the sport. We are so excited for him to connect with NASCAR fans next season on Prime Video.”

The addition of Prime Video and TNT Sports to the television landscape is part of the new seven-year television rights agreement that runs through 2031, which was announced last November.
