Stella ‘Pauline’ Buck



Stella “Pauline” Buck, 90, Altoona, died May 6, 2024, at her home. She was born June 1, 1933, in Gallitzin, the daughter of the late Alfred and Minnie (Stitko) Sunosky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, on Nov. 13, 2014; a stepson, Jessie Wicker; and sister, Ann Black.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Rose Buck; granddaughter, Brandi (Mike) Burgett; great-grandchildren: Jaycie, Noland, Quinten, Josh and Jesse; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pauline liked to read, cook and plant flowers.

There will be no viewing or visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Rose of Lima Church, the Rev. John Lynam celebrant. Committal at Resurrection Mausoleum, Gallitzin.

Arrangements by Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin.
