Suspect Shot During Burglary At Eastern Montco Shopping Center: Police

Update: 10:02 a.m. Wednesday

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —A suspect was shot during a burglary at a jewelry store in The Shoppes at English Village early Wednesday morning, police said.

Horsham Lt. Larry Bozzomo told Patch that an employee at Jen’s Jewels and Gold interrupted a burglary shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday.

During the incident, a gun went off. The suspect was taken to an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury, Bozzomo said.

He said there is no danger to the public. The shopping center parking lot was reopened around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

The shooting did not involve police officers, authorities said.

Horsham ChATs told residents to avoid the area of the Shoppes for a few hours due to the police presence.

The Shoppes at English Village at 1460 Bethlehem Pike are a unique collection of apparel, specialty retail shops, eateries, and services. They include a Trader Joe’s and a Turning Point restaurant.
