Two Buffalo Bandits players nominated for NLL Most Valuable Player

A pair of Buffalo Bandits forwards have been nominated for the National Lacrosse League’s top honor. 

Forwards Josh Byrne and Dhane Smith are up for Most Valuable Player for the 2023-24 regular season. Toronto Rock goalie Nick Rose is also nominated. 

Both Byrne and Smith are also nominated for Offensive Player of the Year. 

Elsewhere, Ian MacKay is up for Transition Player of the Year.

The award winners will be announced in advance of the 2024 NLL Finals, which will see the Bandits face off against the Albany FireWolves as Buffalo seeks back-to-back league championships. Game 1 is May 17 in Albany.
