Leading up to Dries Van Noten’s final farewell, the designer dropped a ready-to-wear summer 2024 men’s collection filled with seasonal patterns, lots of sparkle and his distinct avant-garde edge.
Mr Porter is the exclusive online retailer for the new capsule, describing it as an exploration of “summer sophistication, with a discrete masculine elegance, celebrating fluidity and lightness.” The collection is available to shop starting May 8 and prices range from $325 to $3,575.
While the collection includes sequined bombers, colorful button-downs and coordinating accessories, Van Noten developed three lightweight, cobalt blue styles just for the high-end e-tailer: a double-breasted linen-blend suit jacket, straight-leg linen-blend shorts and a pair of straight-leg linen-blend trousers. The signature styles combine easy silhouettes with impeccable tailoring.
In March 2024, Van Noten made his exit announcement in a letter sent to friends of the label. He is officially stepping down from his creative director position in June 2024, after showing the house’s Spring/Summer 2025 menswear collection at Paris Fashion Week.
The designer has dressed everyone from Florence Pugh and Margot Robbie to Maggie Gyllenhaal, Cate Blanchett and Carey Mulligan. A new creative director for the label has yet to be named.
