Prince William visited Fistral Beach and Nansledan in Cornwall on Thursday. The Prince of Wales took time to view the Duchy of Cornwall site of a forthcoming project and spoke with volunteers and played a game of volleyball at the Fistral beach.

For his royal engagement, Prince William opted for business casual attire. The royal wore a dark blend woven sport coat in a windowpane check pattern with a coordinating light blue button-down shirt. The Prince of Wales paired the look with navy trousers and a belt with a silver buckle.

Upon arriving to Fistral Beach, Prince William made his business casual look even more relaxed. The British royal family member decided to forgo his sport coat and roll up the sleeves of his dress shirt for his walk along the sand. Later on, Prince William played a game of beach volleyball with kids who were present for his visit.

The Prince of Wales’ visit to Fistral Beach was an official royal engagement to meet with representatives from local organizations who are working to promote safety in the sea and across the beach before the busy summer months. Along with his Fistral Beach visit, Prince William’s time in Nansledan concerned a project the royal has been working on.

Nansledan is the site where the Duchy of Cornwall’s first innovative housing project, which will help address homelessness, will be built. The project is set to be delivered alongside the Cornish charity St. Petrocs. The endeavor will provide 24 homes with wraparound support for local people experiencing homelessness.

Throughout 2024, Prince William has kept up a number of royal appearances. Last February, the Prince of Wales attended the BAFTA Awards in a blue velvet blazer. Along with royal duties, Prince William has also tended to his family, with son Prince Louis turning six in April and daughter Princess Charlotte celebrating her ninth birthday on May 2. Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, has been undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
