HOMETOWN ENTERTAINMENT: “Dearly Beloved” on stage at Attic Productions in Fincastle through Sunday

FINCASTLE, Va. (WDBJ) -An over-the-top wedding with three feuding sisters.

That’s the hilarious backdrop of the latest show at Attic Productions, a community theatre in Fincastle.

“It’s about love and marriage and sisterhood, and just the things that happen when you’re in that stressful time of life. So, it’s a really funny comedy,” says Katie Miner, with Attic Productions.

Miner says Attic Productions is blessed with lots of volunteers.

The mom of six says she grew up doing community theatre, and says it’s become a family affair.

“My kids have been very supportive and my husband, and five of my kids have actually started doing theatre through Attic Productions, which is really fun to be able to do something that we love together,” she says.

Attic Productions has a slew of shows coming up through the end of the year, including “Footloose the Musical” coming up later this summer.

It’s entertainment, Miner says, is suitable for the whole family.

“Expect to have fun together. You’ll find professionals and people from all walks of life when you come to the theatre,” says Miner.

“Dearly Beloved” is on stage at Attic Productions in Fincastle through this Sunday, May 12th.

Friday night’s performance is at 7:30.

Saturday and Sunday performances are at 2:30 pm.

Attic Productions also offers a monthly Youth Drama Club. The next workshop is happening May 17th.
