Down Wind Sports, City Police to host e-bike demonstration
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Down Wind Sports is offering an opportunity for the community to learn about e-bikes on Saturday.
Staff said people can stop by Lower Harbor and try out different kinds of e-bikes starting at 10:00 a.m.
Marquette City Police will also be there to go over regulations and rules of the road.
Co-owner of Down Wind Sports Jeff Stasser said this event provides a safe environment to test them out.
“It might be a little intimidating for them to get on an e-bike,” Stasser said. “Especially with the Third Street traffic where our store is located. By doing it down at Lower Harbor, it’s a nice, wide-open, section of the bike path. They can go along and not have any obstacles.”
The event is free to attend and will go on until 3:00 p.m.
