Business leaders, lawmakers hold economic empowerment forum in Lansing
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Business leaders and lawmakers had the chance to discuss the importance of financial coaching and literacy on Thursday.
The event was held at the REO Town Train Depot in Lansing with the goal of supercharging knowledge in financial education and financial empowerment. Discussions included how community members can get involved in financial education.
“It’s a big, important, meaningful conversation that we want to continue to have, and we are creating these partnerships to assure that it happens in a way that can be adaptable, so it’s always relevant in the community,” said Joe Garcia, the CEO of St. Vincent Catholic Charities.
