Arkansas landed a commitment Monday from athlete Zachary Taylor for the 2024 class.
Taylor, 6-4, 170 pounds, of Yoakum, Texas signed with Army in December but received a release from his national letter of intent and will now be a Razorback and join the program as a scholarship receiver.
He arrived in Fayetteville Monday morning for an official visit and will leave on Tuesday. He’s being recruited by Razorback receivers coach Ronnie Fouch.
He claims a 4.48 seconds in the 40 yard dash and running 10,44 seconds in the 100 meters and 21.3 seconds in the 200 meters. He played quarterback and completed 90 of 160 passes for 1,376 yards and 15 touchdowns while throwing 9 interceptions. He rushed 91 times for 342 yards and had 6 touchdowns with a long of 76 yards.
He ran a leg on Yoakum’s 4×100 meter relay team that won the Class 3A state title in May. He reportedly ran a 10.25 second split. Taylor also ran a leg on the 4×200 meter relay that finished second in the state meet.
