AAA offers travel tips for Memorial Day Weekend

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – If you are hitting the road for the Memorial Day weekend there are things to think about before heading out.

Here @ Home welcomes AAA Travel Advisor Austin Needels to tell us about some easy checks that people should be doing on their cars before hitting the road.

He explains there are seven things you should check before heading out.

• Check the tires
• Check the wiper blades
• Change oil and filter
• Change the air filter
• Check the belts and hoses
• Check the battery
• Clean the interior

Needels also mentions what to put in your Summer Emergency Kit. They include:

• Jumper Cables
• Water
• First aid kit
• Flash light
• Phone & Phone charger
• Snacks
• AAA membership card
