The Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame on Wednesday announced a partnership with Xavier University of Louisiana.
The partnership will allow Xavier students to be admitted into some of the college’s graduate business programs.
Notre Dame said in a news release that the deal will provide new career pathways for Xavier students “with the shared mission of developing leaders who contribute to the global society through business.”
The partnership will allow for the admission of four qualified Xavier students to each of four specialized master’s programs: Master of Science in Accountancy, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Finance, Master of Science in Management and the Master of Nonprofit Administration.
The programs are one-year in length and designed to prepare students for successful careers through experiential learning opportunities.
“We are committed to attracting a diverse pool of talented candidates to our programs, and this collaboration with Xavier University of Louisiana is a significant step towards reinforcing that commitment,” said Tahra Taylor, associate director of graduate business career development at Notre Dame and an alumna of Xavier.
Xavier University of Louisiana is the only Catholic and historically Black university in the country. The university has a current enrollment of nearly 3,200 students.
