CSI softball’s season comes to a close at the NJCAA World Series

OXFORD, Alabama (KMVT/KSVT) — The No. 9 College of Southern Golden Eagles season comes to an end after losing two straight games at the NJCAA Softball World Series on Monday.

CSI opened the day losing to No. 1 McLennan 7-3.

CSI opened the scoring in the second with an RBI single from Tasha Hokanson.

McLennan would respond in the third with four runs to take a three-score lead.

They added to its lead in the fifth with a three-run double.

Trailing 7-1 in the seventh, Markessa Jensen sparked up for the Golden Eagles with a two-run home run.

CSI would then put two runners on but failed to get the hits after that and fell 7-3.

The Golden Eagles followed up with a matchup with No. 10 Walters State and fell 4-2.

CSI closes the year with a 47-17 record.
