Trampoline park in Broussard to add six-lane bowling alley. See expected opening.
The ownership group that bought Elevation Station in Broussard last year will install a six-lane bowling alley that is expected to be open by the end of June.
Work is expected to be complete in three weeks to install six duckpin bowling lanes located in the front of the building at the business, located at 240 St. Nazaire Road, said co-owner Todd Dusang, a Metairie attorney who along with his business partner, Brett Hentze, own smaller entertainment centers in Louisiana and Mississippi.
Duckpin bowling is a variation of traditional 10-pin game but instead has pins that are wider and lighter, called duckpins, on shorter lanes. Players use smaller balls without finger holes and can bowl in their own shoes.
The area will also have a large screen along the back that can also show sports games or other shows, Dusang said. A café is also planned and is expected to open at the end of June and will offer pizza, sandwiches, drinks and other items.
Dusang and Hentze bought the business in November for an undisclosed amount, land records show.
“Brett knew the old owner, and he was looking to sell and get out,” Dusang said. “The place hasn’t had any improvements since it opened in 2017. We sort of knew that to buy it we would need to make some changes. We’ll have some other attractions coming in September.”
