Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous is an animated Netflix series which follows a group of kids who attend a camp on Jurassic Park‘s Isla Nublar. Like most other projects in the franchise, the dinosaurs eventually get loose, with the campers having to survive.

In Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, Glen Powell voices a character named Dave. Dave is a camp counselor at the titular camp, with him being a major character in season 1. However, Dave isn’t seen again throughout Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous‘ five seasons, with his fate not being known after season 1.

He Is Already Part Of Several Big Franchises

It is surprising that Glen Powell would not want to appear in the live-action Jurassic World franchise, but this isn’t a bad thing. Glen Powell’s starpower has grown immensely since the series premiered in 2020, with him most likely not taking up the same animated role if he were given the opportunity now. A role in Jurassic World 4 is much bigger than his role in Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, but it makes sense that he wouldn’t want to return.

Ever since becoming a big name in Top Gun: Maverick, Powell has seemingly been more interested in working with established directors on original projects. This is why Powell has gone on to appear in movies like Anyone but You and Hit Man after becoming a major star. On top of that, becoming committed to too many big franchises could become difficult, and after already committing to Top Gun and Twister, Jurassic World 4 may have simply been too much.
