Local business accepting donations for trip to Greenfield, IA Saturday to help recovery efforts

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) – A local business has been accepting donations to help the ongoing recovery efforts in Greenfield, Iowa after a violent tornado struck the town earlier this week.

Toni’s Smokin’ Grill in East Moline is asking for non-perishable food, water, and other essential items such as paper towels, trash bags, laundry detergent and personal hygiene products.

You can drop off these items at Cattlemen’s Meat Market located at 100 17th Avenue in East Moline.

If you are unable to bring those items in-person, business owner Toni Bare said you can put in an order for pickup under her name at the Moline Walmart. She says they will accept donations up until 1:45 a.m. Saturday.

Bare said they will leave for Greenfield at 3 a.m. on Saturday with two vehicles and a 8×24 trailer.

For more information you can call Bare and her team at 563-289-7399 or follow them on their Facebook page.
