Budi Arie Setiadi, Minister of Communications and Informatics Indonesia (Kominfo) has reminded ISPs to cooperate with the government to curb the proliferation of online gambling content. Budie issued a strong warning and policy of revoking permits to ISPs that do not support the eradication of online gambling. According to him, this was done in accordance with Law Number 36 of 1999 concerning Telecommunications and the provisions for amendments.

“We are also taking action based on the Minister of Communication and Information Regulation Number 13 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Telecommunications Services and its amendment provisions,” he said.
