Suspected thief intentionally ran over Target employee’s foot with shopping cart

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) – A man faces charges for running over a store employee’s foot with a shopping cart on purpose during a theft.
Police said they arrested 52-year-old Gary Kenion of Bloomfield.

The incident happened on in March at the Target in South Windsor.
Police said they identified Kenion as the suspect in a case where a man intentionally ran over a store employee’s foot with a shopping cart as he stole $267.68 worth of items. He was trying to flee from the store at the time.
The employee was hit during an attempt to stop him.
Kenion was arrested on Thursday around 9:40 a.m. at Manchester Superior Court. He was already in custody on charges from police departments in other towns.
In South Windsor, he was charged with third-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.
