Southern Miss Baseball Travels to Knoxville for NCAA Regionals

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) – The Southern Miss baseball team earned a spot in the 2024 NCAA Baseball Tournament, getting a No. 2 seed in the Knoxville Regional. The Golden Eagles will play No. 3 seed Indiana (32-24-1) at 12 noon CT, Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on the campus of the University of Tennessee.

The Golden Eagles (41-18), winners of the Sun Belt Conference automatic bid after capturing the tournament championship Sunday 14-11 over Georgia Southern, enter the NCAA tournament having won 14 of the last 15 games.

Tennessee (50-11) holds the No. 1 national seed as well as the top seed at this regional and will play No. 4 seed Northern Kentucky (35-22), the winners of the Horizon League.
