Food smoker prompts fire call to Appleton business

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – No one is hurt after a fire call to a downtown business in Appleton Wednesday morning.

The Appleton Fire Department was called for smoke from a commercial structure on the 100-block of N. Walnut St. around 10:30.

The Appleton Fire Department reminds everyone, even businesses, to make sure cooking appliances are clean and in working order and to never leave cooking unattended.
