18-Wheeler catches fire at travel stop in the Town of Kirkwood

KIRKWOOD (WBNG) — Emergency crews responded to an 18-wheeler truck fire at Love’s Travel stop on Industrial Park Drive in the Town of Kirkwood around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Five Mile Point Fire Company, NYSEG, New York State Police, NYS Spill Response and the Broome County Sheriff’s Road Patrol were on the scene putting out flames and completing the cleanup afterward.

No injuries have been reported at this time and the cause of the fire is under investigation according to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office.
