Or seeing a concert or attending a festival or checking out a crafts show.

There’s plenty of action to be found in and near the Beaver Valley this June.

Here’s our June Fun Calendar to help you pick some perfect outings.

June 1

BBQ & Brews Fest, noon to 6 p.m., Townsend Park, New Brighton. Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Beaver County. bcbigs.org/events

Beaver Volunteer Fire Department 5K/10K Race, 8 a.m. along River Road. Registration and packet pick-up3-7 p.m. May 31.

Ewing Park Yard Sale, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ellwood City.

Darlington Days communitywide festival includes a 10 a.m. parade followed by a 2 p.m. polo match.

June 2

Darlington Days Community Car Cruise, noon to 4 p.m., Third and Market streets, downtown Darlington.

Darlington Days Hike on the North Country Scenic Trail, 5-mile hike. Park behind the First United Presbyterian Church, 3385 Old Darlington Road. The hike follows Little Beaver Creek, returning to town in time for the Darlington Days festival.

June 3

Butterfly Forest at Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, Pittsburgh, an annual up-close look at some of nature’s most prized pollinators alongside the blossoming flowers that feed them. Runs throughout June. phipps.conservatory.org.

June 4

Food Truck Event 4-8 p.m. hosted by Central Valley Hockey at the Beaver Valley Ice Rink, Bradys Run Park. Trucks include Los Gingos, Papa Dukes, Steve & Berrys Chicken, Curbside Cocina, Smokin Dave’s, Grills on Wheels, J&J Catering, Monaca Brewing, Kona Ice, Bruster’s and Patti’s Pastries.

June 5

Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival continues with live music, local art, crafts and food. Runs May 31 to June 9 in the Pittsburgh Cultural District. traf.trustarts.org.

June 6

Silent Book Club, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. New Brighton Public Library. Enjoy books, low-key socialization, snacks and drinks with no assigned readings per week.

June 7

Falls Friday Market, 4-8 p.m. Falls Park, 1301 Seventh Ave., Beaver Falls. Vendors, food trucks and live music. beaverfallscdc.org.

June 8

Brews & Grooves, 6-8 p.m. complimentary samples from local breweries and winery and music from rock band NASH.V.ILL, Beaver Station Cultural & Event Center. beaverstation.org.

Garrison Day arts and crafts festival, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. downtown Beaver parks. beaverheritage.org

Old EconomyAmbridge Bicentennial begins with a 10 a.m. parade followed by events at Old Economy Village lasting until 4 p.m.

Summer Reading Program launches, throughout the Beaver County Library System, June 8 to Aug. 3, open to children and adults of all ages. beaverlibraries.org.

Summer of Love Music & Craft Festival, noon to 10 p.m. with 50 vendors and performances by The Project Band and Beatlemania Magic!, Nova Destinations, Pulaski, Lawrence County.

June 9

Old EconomyAmbridge Bicentennial continues 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Old Economy Village, Ambridge.

June 10

The Science Behind Pixar” replicates Pixar movie magic using science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through more than 50 interactive and hands-on displays at the Carnegie Science Center, Pittsburgh. Open now and runs through 2024. carnegiesciencecenter.org.

June 11

New Brighton Night Mart, 5 to 9 p.m. New Brighton Business District. Nighttime shopping, live music, food trucks and giveaways.

June 12

Wander Ellwood, 5-9 p.m. Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City transforms into a bustling hub, complete with live music in the Plaza and over 80 vendors including food trucks, breweries, wineries and local artisans and crafters lining the street.

June 13

Aliquippa Greek Festival begins, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Authentic food and live entertainment from 5-8 p.m. Continues June 14 and 15.

Genesis Collective unveils its community-based mural project, “Tomorrow: Aliquippa,” 7 p.m. on the lawn near the mural site, at the underpass where Franklin Avenue runs under Route 51. Free Bruster’s ice cream will be provided, and attendees will get a first look at the design by local artist, Guy Ruff. Gcollective.org.

June 14

“The Golden Rose” opens at the Iron Horse Community Theatre, Ambridge. The original play is about the founding of Old Economy and Ambridge by a 19th-century religious group the Harmonists. The play continues June 15, 21- 23, 28-29. ironhorsetheatrecompany.org.

Beaver Valley’s Rocking on The River Music Festival, 1 p.m. Rochester Riverfront Park.
