Mahershala Ali eyes a role in Jurassic World 4 while MCU’s Blade struggles to get off the ground. Universal is moving forward with a new film in the dino-fueled franchise with writer David Koepp, who adapted Michael Crichton’s novels for the first two films, and director Gareth Edwards, known for 2014’s Godzilla, Rogue One, and The Creator. The Jurassic World 4 cast already includes Scarlett Johansson, Bridgerton‘s Jonathan Bailey, The Lincoln Lawyer‘s Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s Rupert Friend.
Now, the film appears to have found another star, and it’s a two-time Oscar winner. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ali is in talks to star in the new Jurassic World movie. However, a deal has not officially been signed yet. Just like the four previous stars who have been cast, it’s unclear who Ali could play, and plot details are still being kept under wraps.
