While everyone else was offered roles straight up, Blaise, beat out a number of actors for the role, in what had become one of the more sought after roles for rising stars.

Executive Vice President of Production Development Sara Scott and Creative Executive of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for the Studio.

Most recently she was seen on the big screen in the coming-of-age film, Deltopia, where she stars as the lead ‘Hannah,’ opposite Madison Pettis, and the screen adaptation of the award-winning young adult novel, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, led by an all-star cast and executive produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Kyra Sedgwick. Past acting credits include Vladimir de Fontenay and Nina Ljeti’s independent film Memoria, and ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat.
