Lynchburg baseball upends #1 Endicott in World Series opener, 7-2

Lynchburg baseball made a statement in their College World Series opener in Eastlake, Ohio on Friday.

“We belong.”

Pitcher Wesley Arrington threw a complete game, 12 strikeout performance, while Brandon Garcia added three RBI’s as the #8 Hornets toppled #1 Endicott, 7-2, to advance in the winners bracket in Eastlake, Ohio.

The win for Lynchburg (36-15) is their 11th straight, who remain undefeated in the postseason. Endicott (46-3) had their 23-game win streak snapped in the loss.

Lynchburg advances in the winners bracket to face #5 Misericordia Saturday at 1:15pm.
