Former Union Pacific CEO among 2024 Omaha Business Hall of Fame inductees
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Seven individuals are set to be enshrined in the Omaha Business Hall of Fame this year.
The Great Omaha Chamber of Commerce on Monday revealed its list of inductees for 2024, which features the following:
- Lance M. Fritz, retired Chairman, President and CEO, Union Pacific
- Clarence “Mickey” Landen (1924-2011), founder of Security National Bank
- Clarence “C.L.” Landen, III, CEO, Security National Bank
- James Landen, Sr., Executive Chairman, Security National Bank
- Sid Meredith, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Security Equipment Inc.
- Constance Ryan, CEO of Streck
- Joan H. Squires, President of Omaha Performing Arts.
The Omaha Business Hall of Fame was established in 1993 and aims to recognize individuals made significant contributions to the Omaha economy, either over time or through a specific achievement.
“It is an honor for the Chamber to induct this outstanding class of business leaders into the Omaha Business Hall of Fame,” said Greater Omaha Chamber President Heath Mello in a press release Monday. “All seven inductees are truly giants in their industries, and all have given so much back to our business community and to our city.”
The induction ceremony for this year’s hall of fame class is scheduled for Aug. 21 at the Holland Performing Arts Center in downtown Omaha.
