Former law office on Ocala’s downtown square has a new tenant. Who’s moving in?
The building that once housed the law office of Blanchard, Merriam, Adel, Kirkland & Green now has a new tenant: Cogent Bank.
The building is on the Ocala downtown square’s southwest corner at 4 SE Broadway St. The building sold for $3.2 million last year to a company based in North Palm Beach. That company now lists an Ocala address.
Cogent, which describes itself as a state-chartered, Florida-based commercial bank, issued a news release on Tuesday announcing its new office, which is scheduled to open this summer.
“This newest location expands Cogent’s statewide footprint to nine full-service banking centers,” the release says. “As part of the expansion, Cogent is employing eight new team members to best service the businesses and individuals of the Ocala metropolitan area and other surrounding communities.”
The law firm’s offices are now at 1007 E. Fort King St., Ocala.
