Madison Co. Dunkin’ Donuts manager accused of stealing thousands of dollars from business

RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) – A Dunkin’ Donuts manager is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the business.

41-year-old Carey Brandenburg is charged with theft by unlawful taking.

Richmond police say that between July 2022 and July 2023, Brandenburg and another manager could be seen on surveillance video creating false refunds on the cash registers.

The co-worker admitted to making false refunds and giving the cash to Brandenburg.

She’s also accused of failing to make some night deposits totaling nearly $3,500.

Right now, approximately $50,000 in refunds are unaccounted for.
