Acclaimed Journalists Tom Rinaldi and Geoff Shreeves Report from Germany for UEFA EURO 2024

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for this year’s sunrise-to-sunset presentation of UEFA EURO 2024™ and CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™, today celebrates the fast-approaching start to the most exciting time on this year’s soccer calendar from Friday, June 14, to Sunday, July 14, by unveiling the network’s lineup of studio analysts, reporters and hosts covering the famed tournaments. Brad Zager, FOX Sports President of Production & Operations /Executive Producer, made today’s announcement spotlighting the roster.

“We’re really pleased with the group of international broadcasters and soccer legends we’ve brought together to elevate what fans will see on FOX Sports this summer across these two amazing tournaments,” Zager said. “We’re looking forward to kicking things off on Friday with the UEFA EURO 2024™ opening match from Germany on FOX, and ramping up our summer of soccer next week on Thursday with the CONMEBOL Copa América™.”

FOX Sports’ inaugural presentation of the UEFA EURO™ tournament begins Friday, June 14, at 2:00 PM ET on FOX with host nation Germany vs. Scotland. FOX Sports studio coverage for the tournament features iconic new additions in former England National Team striker Daniel Sturridge, all-time great Italian center-back Giorgio Chiellini and legendary Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel. One of the greatest defenders in the history of German soccer and a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup™ champion with Germany, Ariane Hingst joins the trio of FOX Sports newcomers as analysts covering UEFA EURO 2024™. In addition to serving as lead match analyst for CONMEBOL Copa América, former U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Stu Holden will appear in studio as an analyst for UEFA EURO 2024™.

Veteran journalists Tom Rinaldi and Geoff Shreeves will anchor on-site reporting from Germany throughout the tournament with Schmeichel joining them in country as a reporter during the competition. Additionally, Michael Timbs will capture the sights and sounds of UEFA EURO 2024™ as a reporter at fan fests in Germany. Acclaimed presenter Jules Breach rounds out FOX Sports’ UEFA EURO 2024™ broadcast team as the network’s new lead host for the tournament.

Working across both tournaments, National Soccer Hall of Famer Alexi Lalas serves as lead studio analyst with fellow U.S. Soccer standout Maurice Edu delivering expert insights. Edu will also call CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ matches throughout the competition.

Former U.S. Soccer stars Carli Lloyd and Clint Dempsey return to the FOX Sports studio this summer as analysts for the CONMEBOL Copa América™, while former Colombia National Team striker Juan Pablo Ángel makes his FOX Sports debut as an analyst on the tournament.

Emmy Award winning journalist Ana Jurka makes her FOX Sports debut as a dedicated reporter and joins lead reporter Jenny Taft for CONMEBOL Copa América™. Jurka will cover Argentina’s run throughout the tournament, while Taft will be embedded with the U.S. Men’s National Team and provide updates throughout the competition. Rob Stone returns as lead host to anchor complete coverage of CONMEBOL Copa América™, beginning Thursday, June 20, at 7:00 PM ET on FS1 when Lionel Messi leads Argentina vs. Canada.

UEFA EURO 2024™ Studio Analysts:

Ariane Hingst, a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup™ champion with Germany, returns to FOX Sports as an analyst for this summer’s Germany-based UEFA EURO tournament. Hingst has previously starred as a studio analyst with FOX Sports across the network’s FIFA Women’s World Cup™ coverage. She played in four FIFA Women’s World Cups™ and made 173 international appearances throughout her career. Hingst was also the youngest player on Germany’s FIFA Women’s World Cup USA 1999™ squad.

Giorgio Chiellini makes his U.S. broadcast debut as a studio analyst with FOX Sports on UEFA EURO 2024™. Heralded worldwide as one of the best all-time center backs for his tenacious style of play, Chiellini played 117 times for Italy across a storied 18 years with the National Team, including serving as captain of Italy’s UEFA EURO 2020™ title run and being named Defender of the Tournament following Italy’s triumph.

Daniel Sturridge, a former striker on the England National Team, makes his FOX Sports debut as a studio analyst this summer. Sturridge made 383 appearances for club and country, scoring 134 times and featuring for England at the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014™ and UEFA EURO 2016™. Sturridge’s successful Premier League club career was headlined by runs with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Peter Schmeichel rose to prominence as a goalkeeper and left a lasting legacy in net across a storied career with the Danish National Team and Manchester United in the Premier League. While at Manchester United, he won 15 trophies and helped captained the club to victory in the 1999 UEFA Champions League Final. Schmeichel also played for a Denmark squad that won UEFA EURO 1992™. Since retiring, Schmeichel has thrived as a broadcaster in the United Kingdom and the U.S.

Stu Holden is FOX Sports’ lead soccer match analyst for the network’s premier soccer coverage. Holden has called numerous prestigious matches throughout his career, including the FIFA World Cup™ Final in 2018 and 2022, and most recently served as a studio analyst for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™. A USMNT veteran who rose through the ranks to represent America at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2009 and 2013 Concacaf Gold Cups and FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010™, Holden officially retired from the sport in 2016 with 25 caps for the U.S.

Tom Rinaldi heads to Germany for his third career major international soccer tournament with FOX Sports after serving as a reporter and feature correspondent for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™. The veteran journalist joined FOX Sports in 2021 and currently contributes across the network’s world-class portfolio of live events. A 17-time Emmy Award winning storyteller and New York Times best-selling author, Rinaldi currently serves as a reporter on FOX NFL’s top game of the week.

Geoff Shreeves decorated run as a reporter in the United Kingdom spans 30 years and he returns to FOX Sports for his third major international soccer tournament on the sidelines in Germany. Shreeves has also appeared as a sideline reporter for UEFA Champions League coverage on FOX Sports. He currently serves as contributor on CBS’ soccer coverage following three decades reporting on Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage in the U.K.

Michael Timbs joins FOX Sports in Germany as a fan fests reporter capturing the sights and sounds of UEFA EURO 2024™. Timbs is a U.K. based media personality, content creator and celebrated Premier League host. He’s previously appeared on Match of the Day and BBC Football Focus in the U.K.

UEFA EURO 2024™ Host:

Jules Breach joins FOX Sports as new lead host for the UEFA EURO 2024™ tournament. Breach currently serves as lead reporter and presenter for TNT Sports in the United Kingdom, as well as host for Channel 4’s coverage of England National Team matches in the U.K. Since the launch of TNT Sports in the U.K., she has taken on a broader role at the network presenting UEFA Europa League matches and reporting on the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

UEFA EURO 2024™ / CONMEBOL Copa América™ Analysts:

Alexi Lalas is FOX Sports’ lead studio analyst for soccer, a role he has flourished in since joining the network in 2015. His signature red hair and fierce style of play helped the dynamic defender become one of the most recognizable faces in soccer. Lalas made his mark with the USMNT as a player during FIFA World Cup USA 1994™ and FIFA World Cup France 1998™. He was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2006 and currently hosts ALEXI LALAS’ STATE OF THE UNION podcast.

Maurice Edu joined FOX Sports in 2018 following his retirement from professional soccer and made his major international soccer tournament debut as a broadcaster at FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™. Edu also starred as a studio analyst on FIFA WORLD CUP TONIGHT at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. On the international stage, Edu earned 46 caps with the USMNT, representing the squad at the 2008 Summer Olympics and FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010™. He currently serves as a match and studio analyst for Major League Soccer and CBS.

CONMEBOL Copa América ™ Analysts:

Carli Lloyd is back for her second summer and third major international tournament with FOX Sports after debuting with the network as a studio analyst at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Lloyd announced her retirement in 2021 following a legendary international career with the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) that spanned 17 years and concluded with 316 caps, good for second all-time in U.S. history and third all-time internationally for both men and women. She represented the U.S. on the pitch across three different decades, including four FIFA Women’s World Cups™, winning two (2015 and 2019) and four Olympic Games. She played in more FIFA World Women’s Cup™ and Olympic matches than any other player in USWNT history.

Clint Dempsey returns to FOX Sports after making his analyst debut with the network at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Dempsey brings a former player perspective to the desk having represented the U.S. at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups™, where he became the first and only USMNT player in squad history to score in three different tournaments. He retired from the game in 2018 tied with former teammate Landon Donovan for the title of all-time leading scorer in USMNT history with 57 goals. He was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2022.

Juan Pablo Ángel was a standout striker across a decade-long career for club and country that featured 9 goals in 33 appearances for the Colombia National Team, and successful runs with Argentine side River Plate from 2007-2011, Premier League side Aston Villa from 2001-2007. In 2007, he moved to Major League Soccer and joined the New York Red Bulls, where he would go on to post 58 goals and 14 assists in 100 starts with the club. Ángel remains the second leading goal-scorer in Red Bulls history and finished his MLS career with 72 goals. He also previously served as a studio analyst with Telemundo Deportes.

CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ Reporters:

Jenny Taft anchors the lead reporter role for FOX Sports this summer and will be embedded with the USMNT throughout their CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ run. Taft has earned critical acclaim for her reporting across multiple men’s and women’s FIFA World Cup™ tournaments and contributes in a variety of roles for FOX Sports, including as the lead reporter for the network’s college football coverage and host for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Ana Jurka is an Emmy Award winning journalist who makes her FOX Sports debut this summer as a reporter for CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™. Jurka will be embedded with the Argentina National Team throughout their tournament run. She joined Telemundo Deportes in 2013, where she covered some of the biggest events in sports as a host, feature correspondent and reporter, including the FIFA World Cup™, FIFA Women’s World Cup™, Olympic Games and more.

CONMEBOL Copa America™ Host:

Rob Stone returns as FOX Sports’ lead studio host for CONMEBOL Copa América ™. Stone has anchored every FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup™ presentation for FOX Sports since 2015. Stone joined FOX Sports in 2012 as the lead studio host for FOX Sports’ soccer, college football and college basketball programming and has anchored coverage across multiple properties in the network’s premier soccer portfolio, including FIFA, UEFA, CONMEBOL, Concacaf, MLS and more.

FOX Sports Wagering Expert:

Chris “The Bear” Fallica is back in studio as wagering expert across the tournaments. He joined FOX Sports last year following a celebrated run at ESPN that spanned nearly three-decades as a research producer and on-air personality for “College GameDay.” Fallica also contributed to ESPN’s coverage of the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010™ and has received multiple Sports Emmy awards for his contribution to coverage across multiple properties.
