Post offices host job fairs
BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (KAIT/Edited News Release) – Post offices in Arkansas are holding job fairs this week to fill immediate vacancies for Rural Carrier Associate, City Carrier Assistant, and Assistant Rural Carrier positions.
A postal job offers employees the ability to work where they live, competitive pay, stability, lifelong benefits, and career advancement opportunities throughout the entire agency.
To assist potential applicants, Postal officials will be onsite to answer questions about employment opportunities and to assist with the application process, as follows:
- Tuesday, June 11 – 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Blytheville Post Office, 600 N Broadway, Blytheville, AR 72315
- Wednesday, June 12 – 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Hot Springs Post Office, 335 Section Line Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71901
- Wednesday, June 12 – 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Stuttgart Post Office, 304 W. Michigan St., Stuttgart, AR 72160
- Thursday, June 13 – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Conway Post Office, 1060 Hogan Lane, Conway, AR 72034
Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) – At $20.38 per hour, an RCA serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas. An RCA is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail, working when regular carriers have scheduled days off or vacation days. An RCA also sells stamps, supplies, and money orders. An applicant must have a valid state driver’s license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. A personal vehicle may be required. Becoming an RCA could be the first step to becoming a full-time, regular rural carrier with full benefits.
City Carrier Assistant (CCA) – At $19.33 per hour, a CCA delivers mail and packages on a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidays. The position requires a valid Tennessee driver’s license, safe driving record, and experience with a passenger car or larger. A CCA is scheduled to work based on service needs. The position may lead to career employment.
Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) – At $20.38 per hour, this employee will deliver and collect packages along routes in rural areas and will provide a variety of services to customers along an assigned route. The successful applicant may be required to provide their own vehicle for transportation. As an ARC, you may opt to provide service to your community on weekends and holidays or up to seven days each week; whichever suits your lifestyle.
