In Crimea, plans for a gambling zone are still in place

OREANDA-NEWS  Plans for the construction of a gambling zone in Crimea remain in force, the main participants of the investment project have been identified, the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said in an interview with RIA Novosti at the SPIEF.

The construction of a gambling zone on the southern coast of Crimea in the village of Katsiveli near Yalta was planned to begin in 2021, but then the plans were postponed. About 15 hectares have been allocated for the creation of the Golden Coast gambling zone on the site of an unfinished sanatorium. The land in this area was transferred to the ownership of the republic from the ownership of the Yalta Municipality. A large Crimean investment company, the Infrastructure Project Management Company, planned to build it.

“Nothing bad happened to this project. The main actors have been identified – these are all well-known organizations in the Russian Federation with experience, but the situation related to the special operation and the lack of air traffic certainly makes its own adjustments. All the issues necessary from Crimea have been resolved, everything remains in force,” Konstantinov told the agency.
According to him, the gambling business is highly profitable and attracts the interest, including of the international public.
