Ariana Grande to Retain Partnership With Scooter Braun, Hybe
Ariana Grande hasn’t completely cut ties with Scooter Braun and Hybe. Last year, it was reported that the musician had split from both and inked a new management deal with Brandon Creed’s Good World Management. But newly shared details regarding the transition reveal that while Creed operates as Grande’s management, Braun is also continuing his business relationship with the singer.
In a statement to Rolling Stone, representatives for Grande and Hybe said, “Ariana Grande and Hybe, led by CEO Scooter Braun, look forward to continuing their long-standing business partnership and pursuing creative opportunities in Weverse and REM Beauty. Grande in this new chapter will continue to be managed exclusively by Brandon Creed/Good World Management.”
Weverse is the social platform Hybe launched in 2019 to foster artist-to-fan interactions. Grande will join the platform as part of her partnership with the corporation, which hosts the likes of BTS, Blackpink, Gracie Abrams, New Hope Club, XG, and more artists.
Braun began his transition into the role of CEO at Hybe America in 2021 when the parent corporation acquired his company, Ithaca Holdings. The acquisition also encompassed his entertainment and marketing company SB Projects, which included management representation for Grande, Justin Bieber, J Balvin, and Demi Lovato at the time.
Lovato reportedly split with Braun in August 2023, around the same time that Grande reportedly would no longer be working with SB Projects, which she joined in 2013, or Hybe. There were also reports that Bieber was searching for new representation after more than a decade with Braun.
At the time, a source close to SB Projects told Rolling Stone that while some of those clients are still under contract, Braun has been preparing to further transition into his role as CEO of Hybe America.
“All of Scooter Braun’s clients are under contract and negotiations have been going on for several months,” the source said. “People are spreading rumors based on what they know, but they are off. Scooter’s team at SB Projects are still handling both Justin [Bieber] and Ariana [Grande] as they work through what this new structure looks like.”
